Starting the car, he pointedly ignores the blonde beside him, huffing something under his breath. They could have gotten the bonding with the parents out of the way but nooo. He was dating a complete and utter slut. Not that he minded, of course. Plus, the spontaneity that Sam was practically bragging for did sound rather romantic. Biting down on his lower lip, his cheeks stain a pretty shade of red. He drives in silence for minutes, coming to a spot on the outer edge of the town; surrounded by trees and wilderness. Typically, this wasn’t his thing but the stars above had Sam’s name all over them - he knew what an astronomy buff his boy was. “So..” he starts, cutting the engine. “I figured we could open the trunk and kind of do this like that time I was in the skirt. We’ll star gaze and whatever else you have in mind.” With that, the smaller teen leans over the center console, stealing a kiss, lips moving gently beneath Sam’s, a soft sigh escaping him. There was no one, absolutely no one, who he’d be happier giving his heart to other than Sam Evans.
It isn’t that he’s insatiable—well, he sort of is. But don’t tell anyone that—it’s just that Kurt is irresistible. He stares at the profile of Kurt’s face, which is turned down in what he can only assume is a fake scowl. He admires the light shade of red Kurt turns and wonders what the brunette is thinking about momentarily. When the car stops, Sam looks around, he’s pleased to discover that they’re in a completely deserted location. He smiles at Kurt’s idea, nodding.
He kisses Kurt back with fervor, need. Mostly because it’s been quite some time since they’ve done anything like this, and they both know that Sam doesn’t even bother to please himself anymore. His breathing quickly turns heavy, his jeans becoming more uncomfortable. He deepens the kiss, prodding Kurt’s lower lip with his tongue before breaking away for air. “Kurt—Kurt, I need you.” it’s a little pathetic, but he isn’t past begging anymore.
“You’re trying to be extremely flirty and it may or may not be working, fair warning.” Drawing a tantalizing finger down Sam’s chest, Kurt leans in, ready to make his move, and then he’s being tugged in the direction of the doorway, down the stairs, toward his car. He just barely manages to call out, “Thank you for having me! It was lovely meeting you!” before the front door slams behind them and he’s being shoved into the driver’s seat.
Turning his head, the brunette, trying to capture his breath, turns narrowed eyes on his boyfriend. “Classy, hun. Your parents have no clue where we’re going.” With a roll to his blue eyes, and an upturned nose, Kurt just barely manages to hold back an amused hum - couldn’t let Sam off the hook that easily. “Oh, romantic, did you say? On such a spur of the moment?”
“Oh, really?” he asks, suddenly finding himself short of breath as Kurt’s gentle touch trails down his chest. He sees Kurt leaning in closer and decides that he can’t let the brunette win that easily, taking his hand and practically yanks Kurt down the hall. He snickers a little bit to himself as he hears Kurt call out to his parents from just behind him. He catches his breath as Kurt sits down next to him, eyeing the brunette out of the corner of his eye.
He lets out a laugh, he knows that Kurt can never stay angry at him for long, or pretend to, anyway. “My parents aren’t like yours, Kurt. They just want me home by a certain time, other than that, I’m free to do whatever I want.” his heart flutters as he watches Kurt roll his eyes, admiring the lovely dip of his exposed collarbone. “Yes, romantic. And yeah, spur of the moment. It’s called being spointaneous, silly.” he coos as Kurt starts the Navigator.
“sam..” the tone is entirely breathy and his lashes may happen to flutter, but what with warm lips and a skillful mouth moving over his neckline, the brunette can’t help the little noises that spill from his parted lips, nor the now heated cheeks. rolling his neck to the side to allow the taller teen better access, kurt manages to murmur, soft but needy, “just kissing then? because, babe, i am completely ok with a walk or drive that involves alone time.”
“Yes?” he asks, and he’s doing his best to keep both of them quiet because his siblings are down the hall in their room playing and his parents are downstairs doing domestic things and Kurt has this track history of being sort of loud. Pulling away slightly, he nods. “We can do more, if you want.” he winks, taking Kurt’s hand and leading them back downstairs. He tells his parents that they’re going out over his shoulder and they’ll be back before midnight before shutting the front door behind them and leading them to the Navigator. He slides in the passenger seat and waits until Kurt gets in the car. “Take me somewhere romantic.” he drawls, giving his fiancé a crooked grin while winking.
Kurt flushes something pretty under Sam’s hold, pleased to find the taller boy thought he did well. Truth be told, the evening went far better than anticipated and now he was just a little put out that he gave the cheesecake away so easily. Stifiling a laugh at that, Kurt pushes up, butting his head under Sam’s jaw and nuzzling his throat area affectionately, his nimble fingers playing a fine tune against the broad chest before him. Contemplating how he felt, he hums, finally peering up with wide, doe-like eyes. “I think if we tell them that we should wait to tell them and my father and.. Carol, well, together. It’s kind of important, no?” Even as the kiss comes to a pause, Kurt still brushes his mouth playfully over his fiance’s jaw line.
Shivering, more from the suggestion then the hands running up his sides (though that did it too,) Kurt smiles, a little smug, a little impressed and completely smitten with the idea. He’s sure Sam notices too from the way his pupils dialate just so and something dark settles over his gaze. “You do? Like, a club or dinner or…?”
He smiles down at Kurt affectionately as he watches the brunette blush. He lets out a tiny sigh of content as he feels Kurt nuzzling against the plain of skin where his shoulder meets his neck, slender, talented fingers teasing at his chest. He nods at Kurt’s suggestion, heart swelling at the complete innocent look that the other boy puts on, even though some part of him knows that he isn’t as innocent as he likes to act sometimes.
He smirks as Kurt shivers in his hold, stifling it before the other boy can notice it. He nods in affirmation. “Of course. I already ate dinner, though. I was thinking more along the lines of… maybe going for a walk or drive and just kissing you a little bit.” to punctuate his idea, he brings his lips to the milky smooth surface of Kurt’s throat and nips at it affectionately.
Kurt giggles the entire way up the stairs, tugging on Sam’s hand, leading him into his room but making sure to leave the door open at Mrs. Evan’s request. As soon as they are out of sight he pushes up on his toes and wriggles into his boyfriend’s space. Lithe arms reach up to entertwine around the blode’s neck, pulling him down swiftly for a kiss. He keeps it chaste, still giggling into it because, really, he’s feeling rather splendid. As he starts to smile, Kurt mumbles against Sam’s lips, “Well.. that went pretty well. I’m so proud of you.. and it was kind of hot to see you standing up for us like that.” Waggling his brows playfully up at him, Kurt’s mouth quirks up at the edge’s into a smirk before he’s leaning in again for another kiss. This one ends up a little more needy, soft noises starting to spill from the brunette’s mouth. “Mmm, love you, Sam.”
Sam practically grins into the kiss, hands resting on either side of Kurt’s torso affectionately. Everything had gone ridiculously well, far better than he had thought it would. He still had a home, parents that loved him. His stuff. Not to mention his siblings. “Yeah, well, I’m proud of you.” Sam countered lightly. “I’m glad they like you.” he said after a moment before looking down at his fiance affectionately. “Although we still have to tell them about our engaged status.” he said quietly before shrugging. “But we’ll get to that, right?” The second kiss is a little more forceful, not that he’s complaining. “Love you too. So much.” he said quietly before pulling away. “Now, to celebrate, we should go out or something.”
Kurt & Sam, Inlaws
At the very least, Kurt has the decency to blush, lowering his head to hide his sudden embarrassment that Mrs. Evans just talked about their sex life. Their sex life! Slightly humiliated, he whimpers softly, turning to tuck his head into Sam’s shoulder, his blush even more evident with every passing second that ticks by. Mumbling, trying to remedy the conversation, he tries, “I promise to keep sleepovers off our hang out schedule for a long, long time.” Saying that, he squeezes Sam’s hand to be interpreted that: Yes, they may have lost his boyfriend’s bedroom for rendesvouz hour, but Kurt was determined to get the Hummel home to himself and, if need be, he would sacrifice the trunk of his beautiful navigator again.
Kurt almost outwardly scoffs. Almost. He would not be giving up their sex life anytime soon, especially now that they’ve gotten the hang of it and he knows how exceptionally well they are at .. making love.
Taking a few deep breaths, the brunette finally lifts his head from the jock’s shoulder, smiling gently. “We really appreciate you both being so understanding Mr and Mrs. Evans.”
Sam can feel his face turning hot at the mention of his sex life. From his mom, of all people. Talk about embarrassing. He snickers as Kurt tries to salvage the situation, he doesn’t mean to, it just happens. He knows his mom means well, like always, but she’s also not dumb. He fixes her with a look and she laughs and shrugs. “I know,” she says to him, still trying to suppress a grin. “You’re teenagers. Teenaged boys, at that. Just.. not under my roof, please.”
Sam nods, because it’s something he can agree to. He turns to Kurt and takes his hand. Finally, Sam’s dad pipes up. “And Sam?” Sam turns to look up at his father, whose smirking. “Next time, try inviting Kurt over for dinner, yeah?” The question makes Sam laugh, and he nods, taking Kurt’s hand and starting for the stairs. When they’re halfway up, they can hear his mother calling up to them. “That bedroom door stays open!”
Sam laughs again and continues to lead Kurt upstairs.
He can’t help it. At the adults’ response, he breaks out into a fit of giggles, trying his best to bite down on his bottom lip to stifle a smile. He should have known they weren’t being as subtle as they had hoped and adds, “The giggling was entirely your son’s fault.’” Kurt returns the hug, beaming as he says, “Trust me, it’s even nicer to meet the two of you as well.” When he steps back, the brunette, now hands free, extends an arm so his hand bumps the back of Sam’s before interlacing their fingers. Sharing a happy smile with his boyfriend, Kurt says softly for Sam’s ears only, “You can smile now. It’s ok.” At that, he breaks into another round of helpless laughter.
Sam feels helpless between his parents essentially laughing at his coming out, and his boyfriend joining in. “Wait—” he starts, a confused look on his face. “I don’t…” he looks at Kurt, and when he sees how vibrant and alive the brunette looks, he can’t help but smile himself. His mother takes the cake from Kurt and watches as Sam kisses Kurt’s cheek, grinning now, feeling absolutely, 100% relieved.
“Now,” she begins, still smirking. “This means we’ll see more of Kurt, I’m sure.” she says, directing her gaze to Sam. “And he isn’t allowed to stay the night anymore. Are we clear?” she’s doing her best to sound stern, but Sam knows she’s trying to hold a laugh in. “Sam, I know that we don’t see eye to eye on everything, but you’re my son, and I’ll love you no matter what. I’m glad you can finally tell us.”
Kurt’s smile tightens at Mrs. Evans who looks just as confused, if not more so, then Sam’s father. And then - woah, alright. Kurt was hoping they would all sit down and discuss this but it seemed like his boyfriend was just as eager to get all of.. this.. out of the way. He swallows, offering the blonde a brave smile before reaching for Sam’s hand and squeezing it tightly, right there, under Sam’s parents noses. “That’s right,” he confirms softly, calmly stating, “And while your son has been quite worthy of a friend to me, Mrs. Evans, he’s surpassed that and I hope I’m not being too forward when I tell you I love Sam very much. You’ve raised a wonderful young man. The both of you.” Shoulders square, chin raised defiantly and eyes a little darker than usual, Kurt stands proud next to said boyfriend, extending the cake in his opposite hand. “I don’t expect you to like me or even understand right away but I brought this to show that I.. I would very much like to get to know your family Mr. and Mrs. Evans.” Confidence faltering slightly, Kurt flushes, diverting his gaze to the floor, hand still held tightly in Sam’s own.
Sam’s quiet as Kurt speaks, swallowing nervously. He wants to interject, but then again, it probably isn’t the best idea, especially not when he’s essentially presenting his parents with a loaded gun. He looks at Kurt for a moment, heart thudding in his chest like a hammer, beating in his ears like a hyperactive drum. “And…” he trails off, biting his lip before continuing, throwing caution to the wind. “I hope you guys can accept the fact that I love Kurt a whole lot. Like you guys love each other.”
It’s silent for a few moments, and then the unexpected happens. Both Sam’s mother and father burst into laughter. Startled, Sam steals a look at Kurt, confused and a little afraid. “Guys?” he asks, voice sounding vaguely panicky. Sam’s father steps forward and wraps his arm around his mother’s waist, smiling softly. His mother, still chuckling, just shakes her head as she takes the cake from Kurt.
“Sam, we know.” she says softly, and it seems that they’ve been pulling one over on Sam this entire time. “We’ve known ever since Kurt’s been coming over for those “study sessions” that involve you two giggling loudly from your room.” she explains softly before turning to Kurt and once again does the unthinkable in embracing him. “It’s nice to finally properly meet you.” she tells him softly.
kurt’s eyes flicker over sam’s face when they enter the other room. it’s evident he’s nervous but that he is putting on a brave face which kurt finds to be uncontrollably sexy. it’s not the best of times what with sam’s parents right there and not to mention this is the first time they’re meeting but it’s just… sam. nggh.
he smiles politely, blue eyes shining boldly but almost daring them to make a judgement about him. he extends a hand toward the family, smiling as he says, “hello, it’s a pleasure to meet you mr. and mrs. evans. i’m kurt.”
Sam’s mother gives him a quizzical look before she rises to shake Kurt’s hand. “Sam, why didn’t you tell us you were inviting a friend over? He should have come for dinner.” Sam just shakes his head, trying to get rid of the knot that has formed in his throat. His father looks less than impressed, staring at both of them.
He shrugs, clearing his throat. “Because.. um, he isn’t my friend.” This got another confused look from everyone in the room. “He’s…” a pause. It’s now or never. “He’s my boyfriend.” A pause follows and Sam looks at Kurt for anything, any sort of reaction besides the blank, misunderstanding stares from his parents.
The anxiety is written all over Sam’s face. Kurt croons, taking pity on his boyfriend, entering the house, hip brushing against the blonde’s. “No, I didn’t, but I figured it couldn’t hurt and if nothing else goes right tonight, well.. at least there was cheese cake.” He winks, closing the door behind him and then peeks over his boyfriend’s shoulder to make sure the foyer is deserted so he can lean in quickly, stealing a chaste kiss. Pulling back breathless, Kurt flashes his most encouraging smile, feeling his own heart rate pick up at Sam’s nerves. “Whenever you are, babe, then yes.” Inhaling a bit sharply, the fair skinned teen brushes past the jock, setting his shoulders straight to give himself more height. Over his shoulder he calls, more cheerily, “Come on then, Samuel. The news won’t present itself.”
He can’t help but crack a smile at Kurt’s words. It’s a little faint, but it’s a start. He panics a little when Kurt pecks him on the mouth, but figures that’s mostly the reason why Kurt’s even here; the panic. Sam’s sick of it, and he wants it to end, starting now. He closes his eyes, steeling himself for the worst and hoping for the best. He watches Kurt step into the room, almost admiring the brunette’s bravery. “Ah, I’m coming.” he steps next to Kurt, leading the two of them into the room. From the doorway, he pokes his head in. “Mom, Dad? I have someone I want you to meet.”
